Expect to wait in line, but it's worth it! This place has the feel of grandma's kitchen and the food to match. They start you off with platano soup & bacalaitos (fish fritters) that are both delightful! Their house cocktail is definitely worth a try. I had the shrimp stuffed avocado with Mofongo for my main and it was delicious!

Still dreaming about this place, and I wish I had the stomach to try the homemade hot sauce because I heard it was good! Instead I opted for the queso frito, which was the best I had in San Juan, and a bigger version of the soup because that was delicious! I had it with a side of white rice, which was also the best. Honestly, if I could take this whole restaurant to Jersey, I would! Best part was the fact it was part restaurant and part treehouse! They have a huge tree growing from inside the restaurant. Service was outstanding and accommodating, and all food is fresh for the day. Once they run out of stuff, that's it, which I appreciate. If you happen to be in the area and their not closed because they do close at 4pm, make it happen -- guarantee to not disappoint!

Absolutely lovely, from the music, the cool breeze, and the kind service. We came a Saturday around 2 ( I want to say we arrived after the lunch rush so our wait was short) We got the Saturday special (yellow rice with chicken- SO GOOD) our waiter was funny and had good recommendations for us! If I were to visit Puerto Rico again I would 10/10 recommendation anyone to visit !!!

The best food I had in San Juan by far! This was hands down my favorite restaurant that we tried. They do have weird hours so if you want to make it here, make sure you get here a little early as it gets really busy. The mofongo is absolutely incredible, we got it with pork and onions and I have been dreaming about it since I have left the island. We also got the snapper filet with the yellow rice and that was also delicious. I could not recommend this place more. If you are looking for a delicious authentic lunch spot, you have to go here.

We heard from a few locals that if we wanted authentic good Puerto Rican food to try this spot. The restaurant is small and made to order food, which takes time. We arrived around 7pm and there was a few people in line ahead of us. We had to wait outside which is where you wait until your table is ready. Drinks - I had the house sangria and it was delicious, my friend had the local beer. For dinner I ordered the salt fish stew (Bacalao) it tasted like home, as if my mom cooked it for me, wonderful, it comes with your choice of rice. My friend had the fried pork chop with rice and we shared a whole sliced avocado and beans in a sauce. Her food tasted great as well, we left happy and full. Parking is tough as it is all street landing and in a residential neighborhood. The food is def worth the wait, glad we were able to try them out. The vibe was great, people were talking and having a great time. The crows was mixed if all ages and they have both indoor and outdoor seating.

In San Juan Puerto Rico, it seems the the best restaurants are in residential areas where you would never suspect there is a booming and very popular eatery. Well this place was one of my favorites during my trip, if not the favorite. We arrived when it was drizzling and joined the wait line outside the establishment until it became a heavy downpour and we were able to enter a small crowded wait space. After about 15 minutes, our table of 3 was seated. I ordered red snapper, my Caribbean favorite and it was delicious and the way I love it! Crispy on the outside and the meat flakey...yum. The sides were delicious, sangria was great, and tres leches delicious!
